Samsung’s Galaxy S4 may be getting getting pretty old (in phone years), but that hasn’t stopped Samsung from pushing out a new version of their 2013 flashship phone – this time, in Thailand only. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition, as reported by GSM Arena, is a collaboration between Samsung and Swarovski Elements, and the phone’s only real difference is the back, which is customized with a unique pattern of Swarovski crystals inlaid into the phone. Besides that, this is just your regular Samsung Galaxy S4, running the Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chip, that 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, and all the other things that come with the GS4 that we all know already.
It will
cost you 20,300 baht ($630) and you can only get it from the Samsung
Shop. For comparison, a standard I9500 S4 costs around 17,400 baht
($540) in Thailand. That’s a significant enough price difference for
someone looking for a phone, but I suppose if you’re even looking at
this device seriously, you’re probably in the market for something
that’s just a little something extra. This is not the first time that
Samsung put forward Galaxy variants studded with Swarovski crystals: it
did it with the S III Mini and the S II as well. Samsung Unvails Crystal Edition of Samsung Galaxy S4 , Available Only in Thailand
Next
year, Samsung will apparently also launch a Galaxy S4 La Fleur Edition.
This should be joined by a Galaxy Core La Fleur, Galaxy Trend La Fleur,
and Galaxy Fame Lite La Fleur. All these will most probably see a
release similar to this one, in countries such as Russia and the like.
Interested in picking up one of these devices? Head on over to the Samsung website here and check it out! They only have 3,500 in total!
