Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 announced: 5.25-inch 720p HD screen, 1.5GB of RAM, 1.2GHz quad-core CPU

Samsung just unveiled the Galaxy Grand 2, the sequel to the Galaxy Grand, a mid-ranger that launched eleven months ago to good sales in emergent markets like India and China.

The Grand 2 is an all-around improvement over its predecessor, bringing a bigger and sharper screen, a quad-core processor (instead of the dual-core on the Grand), and a bigger battery. Still, while the screen size puts the Grand 2 in the vicinity of the flagship Note series, this is still a no-nonsense midrange device. The processor is likely a Snapdragon 200 model from Qualcomm, the screen is 720p, and the rear camera features an 8MP sensor.
