Get to download latest iOS 7.1 beta 2 from Apple's Dev Center

iOS 7.1 beta 2

It's been nearly a month since Apple rolled out the first beta version of iOS 7.1 to registered developers, which is a tad longer than the length of time that typically separates beta releases. Today the iOS beta drought has come to an end, though, because Apple has officially released iOS 7.1 beta 2 into its iOS Dev Center.

Featuring the build number 11D5115d, the iOS 7.1 beta 2 is available for download to users that've ponied up the $99 per year developer registration fee and entered their device information into the iOS Dev Center. The devices that are compatible with the iOS 7.1 beta include the iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display, fourth-generation iPad, iPad mini, third-generation iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4 and fifth-generation iPod touch.

The iOS 7.1 beta 2 download was just posted to Apple's iOS Dev Center, so there's no word yet on exactly what changes it includes. The previous iOS 7.1 beta brought with it several bug fixes, a dark keyboard toggle, an option to upload burst photos to a Photo Stream and other tweaks. Stay tuned and I'll update you with the goodies included in the iOS 7.1 beta 2 as I get 'em. If you're a registered iOS developer, go and snag that software!

UPDATE: According to 9to5Mac, some of the tweaks that iOS 7.1 beta 2 update brings with it include a new placement for "Touch ID & Passcode" in the Settings menu, faster animations, a new bounce animation when the Control Center is pulled up and new button shapes that indicate where a user is able to click on a button.
