Galaxy S5 specs could blow Nexus 5 away in 2014

Everyone is talking about how the Nexus 5 is one of the best smartphones on the market right now, if not the best. Google has provided some great hardware specs at a price reasonable for consumers, but unsurprisingly it looks like Samsung has one eye on overturning this pattern with the arrival of their forthcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone next year.

While rumors continue to swirl on a possible showing at CES 2014, one thing that has got us very excited over the weekend is potential Samsung Galaxy S5 specs vs the Nexus 5 that is already out.
While Samsung are not ready to announce anything in an official capacity, some recent benchmarks have suggested that the Galaxy S5 specs could be something special indeed. We know that the Nexus 5 is running on a quad-core Quad-core 2.3Ghz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.
Benchmarks seen here though provide a mouth-watering glance at the Samsung Galaxy S5 which could be running on a quad-core-2.5Ghz Snapdragon 800 instead. That’s not all though, previous rumors have suggested that this could be a 3GB RAM smartphone, while the same benchmark which provided the processor insight has also teased that the Galaxy S5 could be shipping with a stunning 2K display, offering a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
No word on what display screen size the Galaxy S5 will have yet, but obviously expect something in the region of 4.5-5 inches.
Gaming on the Galaxy S5 could be the best seen on the market yet too. If you thought that the Adreno 330 chipset offered good performance, the Galaxy S5 could be set to offer the Adreno 420 GPU set-up instead – perfect timing for GTA San Andreas.
