AT&T collaborates with Rogers in Canada to allow 4G LTE roaming

AT&T announced the first agreement for a U.S. carrier to offer international LTE roaming after revealing a new collaboration with Rogers Communications in Canada. With the new agreement in place, it is possible for AT&T customers roaming in Canada to use their existing LTE device on the Rogers network. According to the announcement, Rogers covers about 70% of Canada’s population and delivers the fastest LTE network in Canada.

To access the Rogers network with an AT&T device, they can add a Data Global Add-On package to their account. Packages are available for $30/mo. providing 120MB, $60/mo. for 300MB, or $120/mo. to get 800MB of data. While not able to access LTE yet, the Data Global Add-On gives users data access in more than 150 countries around the globe.
