Android 4.3 KitKat Update Released For AT&T Moto X

After Verizon decided to be the first to pounce on the latest and greatest Android OS update, AT&T too has decided to follow suit. The AT&T Moto X Android 4.4 KitKat update has now been officially released, it brings all of the features and enhancements that users have come to expect from KitKat. Since the update is rolling out in stages, it might take a while before it becomes available for everyone. A little patience will get you a long way, it won’t take long before your AT&T Moto X notifies you that an OS update is available. There’s not much to the official update changelog, considering the fact that the OS on Moto X is quite close to the vanilla Android experience. That said, it does bring all of the enhancements and improvements that KitKat has to offer, such as restyled status and navigation bars, a new full-screen mode, improved closed captioning, support for color Emoji and much more. The update also brings a new version of Google Hangouts app that has SMS integration, the native phone app has been improved to look up contacts from the dial pad. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically on the device itself, so there’s no need to hook it up with a computer. Also, since it is an official update, there won’t be a need to create a backup of your data prior to installing Android 4.4 on AT&T Moto X.
