Many of you may not have known that LG had a Pocket Photo Printer, in
fact I’m one of those people. So I’m not sure how successful it’s been
for the Korean company, but obviously it was successful enough for them
to create a new one. The sequel is known as the LG Pocket Photo 2,
which is slightly thinner than the original, and is said to have even
better battery life with 30 photos-worth of juice. Additionally, LG has
upped the printing resolution to 600 DPI and LG has companions apps on
Android, iOS and Windows 8. Other than that, you can still pair up the
device using NFC or Bluetooth and can add QR codes and text to images
before printing as well as filters for those that love Instagram.
Right
now, the Pocket Photo 2 is launching Korea in mid-January. While LG
still hasn’t announced the pricing for this yet. LG, undoubtedly, is
going to be showing it off at CES, along with some other products from
the company. Like a 105-inch Curved TV. I really wish we could review
it. I’m excited to see what else LG will show off at CES in a couple of
weeks. Their press conference is set for 8am on January 6th, and we’ll
be covering that as well as every other press conference in Vegas that
week. Remember that is 8am PT, so that’s 11am ET, and 4pm over in the
UK.
LG’s really been doing some interesting things lately. And the
Pocket Photo 2 is another one. I’m just not sure how popular it’ll be.
But it is definitely something different. And for the right price, could
be a big seller. How many of you would be interested in this little
printer to print some photos from your phone or tablet? Be sure to let
us know your thoughts in the comments below.
