iOS 7.1 beta now available and public release soon

iOS 7.1 beta was released around 10 days ago and gave us a taste of what to expect, as well as a chance for devs to get to grips with the new features and to put it through a series if tests to see if any issues arise.

With this in mind we thought we would take a look at the iOS 7.1 public release window. With the beta version already in the hands of testers there is a general consensus that iOS 7.1 GM will happen later this month, once all the issues have been ironed out.
To get an understanding of the iOS 7.1 update release date for the public, we have to look at when the beta expires, which just so happens to be January 13, 2014.

It is for this reason why we believe the iOS 7.1 public release will be available for download in the second half of January 2014, although we can’t give a specific date. We do hope it will be soon because having just ordered a new iPad Air, it would be better to have a newer OS sooner rather than later considering some of the issues the Air has had with iOS 7.0.4. We will be keeping a close eye on things, especially when iOS 7.1 goes Gold Master.

If you have yet to see what new iOS 7.1 features we can expect, then view the beta version running on the iPhone 5S, which is compared to iOS 7.0.4 running on the iPhone 4.
