Google+ for iOS update

Google has updated its Google+ app for iOS, adding multiple new features and changing the design. Version 4.6.0 of the Google+ app adds the ability to store full-resolution backups of a user's photos. It also adds a new location sharing feature, giving a visual representation of where one's friends are.
The full-resolution backup feature is limited to devices running iOS 7. The backup feature works for both photos and videos.

The location-sharing feature can display a user's friends' photos on a map, telling where they are in relation to the user. Users can control this feature at the circle level, indicating whose locations they want to see, as well as who they would like to see their own locations.

Google has also built in an in-line translation feature for both posts and comments. Also, the app's search feature has been redesigned to focus on a single search box for posts, people, photos, and communities.

Previous updates of the app have brought features such as instant upload and Hangouts integration. Google has also continuously tied the app into other Google ecosystem apps on iOS, such as Google Drive, Gmail, and Chrome. The new version of Google+ for iOS is available as a free download on the iTunes App Store. The 27MB download requires an iPod, iPad, or iPhone running iOS 6.0 or higher.
